When you purchase a Square Register, you'll receive a 3-foot display cable as standard. The Square Point of Sale software is included, and it operates on an Android system. However, it's important to note that third-party apps, such as non-Square POS systems, are not currently supported.

There's no monthly fee to start using Square Point of Sale. You only pay when you process a payment, making it a cost-effective solution for many businesses.
What is the difference between a Square Stand and a Square Register?
The Square Register is a complete hardware and software system provided by Square, featuring both customer-facing and employee-facing screens. On the other hand, the Square Stand is a device that allows you to use an iPad with the Square POS software, turning it into a point-of-sale system.
Does the Square Register come with an iPad?
If you already have a compatible iPad, you can purchase the Square Stand alone for $149. If you don't have an iPad, you can buy the Square Stand with an included iPad for $478.
Can I have two Square Registers?
Each device code can only be used on a single device. So, if you have multiple registers at one location, you'll need to create a unique code for each device using Square for Retail Plus.
